A Little Box Of Sunshiney

This is Peanut Butter Brickle. I’m not for showing a lot of emotion. In fact, I say no to that.

But surprises and presents have a way of well, making my outside smiles come out.

We don’t get mail often because we aren’t in any place long enough to.

So when we got a package yesterday, we were surprised, excited, and even though it was dreary outside, the sunshiney came out!

We got a box full of you guessed it, the important things.

Peanut butter, pancakes, and even the persons got cups for their wine stuff and all kinds of other fun stuff too.

No. It wasn’t a box of money. Or gold. But it was a treasure to us.

Because someone thought of us and someone went out of their way for us, that made us feel loved. Don’t we all need to feel loved?

In the world we live in, it’s easy to forget the love that goes behind a written card or a gift.

It’s easy to forget how neighbors used to be.

It’s easy to forget because we all have so much to do that small acts of kindness are left to do when we don’t have anything else to do. They aren’t a priority.

Make individuals a priority one day or afternoon of the week. You don’t want one more thing on your to do list? Then don’t think of it that way. Basic kindness shouldn’t be a chore. In fact, you’ll realize how good it makes you feel inside. Ok. Maybe not as good inside as that peanut butter I got. But good!

Especially now, everyone needs to know they aren’t forgotten.

Everyone needs to know they aren’t alone. Make an effort with no excuses. Send a box of sunshiney. Make a call of sunshiney.

Make a dreary world brighter!
