This is Fruitycake. It’s Saturday. I’m still getting used to writing the blog seven days a week now.
I like it, but I sure have to schedule my snacks accordingly.
I am happy to report that the sunshiney made an appearance today. No, it’s not bright like Brickle’s teeth.
We want to fill social media with happy ways to an animal’s life. We give our time and resources to this cause. We have worked daily for over a decade to grow our pages to help provide free exposure to shelters and rescues at no cost. We reserve space for animals in need. Not sponsors. But it is still dazzling. Like our waterfall. “Our” waterfall? I have suggested that my persons stop calling it that. Why?
I have lots of thoughts and emotions in this little fruity head.
Us dogs have lots of time to think because we aren’t running our mouth. Wait…I may do that too.
But I still think more than the persons.
The waterfall isn’t ours. Nothing really is ours here. It was here way before us. And it will be here way after us. It’s no more ours than yours. It’s all of responsibility, this entire earth.
Some may think that if a piece of paper doesn’t show you own something, you don’t have to take care of it. That’s why there is trash on a beach or the street. It’s why persons neglect so much. So many others even that may not be in the same country or street.
The waterfall isn’t ours. It belongs to the earth, which we are all on. And until we realize that everything we do has an affect, nothing will get better or change. For anyone.
There are many things beyond our control. But many things are. And this weekend, after I write this blog, I will go stand by my waterfall. And thank it for letting me admire its strength and beauty and motivation it has given me to do better. I hope it does you too.
