This is Fruitycake. Did you know that the day after your Gotcha Day you get to sleep in? I did. So I did.
Today, we have a lot to do. There is a bad spell of cold weather coming. And we don’t have enough fuel for our upstairs heaters.
The only place to get the fuel is a couple bus rides and trains away in a city.
I can’t believe that at one time I only knew the city.
That was me that lived there.
The me of that time would never have believed I would be living in the mountains of Italy.
But it’s the same me. Then and now. And in many years, when I’m old in years like Brickle was, I’ll be the same me then too.
We are always the same me. Me and you. Isn’t that special?
In a world where persons judge value and judge everything by a person or even animal on the way we look, the facts are that we are all more than that.
We are who we are on the inside. We are even more than our experiences. We are all beings with hopes and dreams and the contributions we make to the world.
We all make a difference in the world. Good or not good. Mediocre or extraordinary.
And if you aren’t satisfied with your current you, it’s time to find a way to be the best version of you. I didn’t have to be a stray dog for all my years.
And you don’t have to stray from your dreams and who you truly are either.
