I watch Girl Person go to a store many times a week. She is always writing down things she needs.
And she will text Boy Person when she’s inside to ask what he needs.
Or what me and Brickle need. We don’t have phones yet.
And then she still looks around and wonders what in the world she came in there for.
Do you ever do that? I know that when I go into a room, I usually have a pretty good idea what I’m doing there. Brickle definitely always knows what his purpose is.
But persons, not only do they forget what to get in a store, they forget what they want to get in life.
Instead of remembering a purpose…their purpose…they just do instead of think. They get distracted. Because without a set purpose in life and a goal for what you need and want, you’ll forget it altogether.
It’s so easy to get distracted by unnecessary things. It’s so easy to forget what you truly want to do and truly need.
You have to have a plan. A list. Not just a wish.
I know that my purpose is to be a shining and happy light to my family. My purpose is to give a voice to other dogs out there waiting for a home.
What is your purpose? Do you have a plan for your purpose? Things don’t just happen by themselves. Even if you get your groceries delivered, you have to tell them what you want.
So walk today with purpose. Every thing we do in life should support that purpose.
