This is Peanut Butter Brickle. Oh, what beauty. Yes. I’m talking about me.

But I’m also talking about all of the things you passed by yesterday.

In all of the problems and sadness in the world, it’s easy to feel guilty about noticing the good things. It is easy to feel guilty about seeing the beauty in a day. It’s easy to feel like we shouldn’t be enjoying anything.

But have you ever noticed the birds flying on a day that was sad to you? They didn’t know.
Have you ever noticed a frog jumping in the creek on a day that was sad to you? He didn’t know.

The truth is, if we only focus on the bad, and we don’t see the good, we cannot help anyone. If we try to make the birds’ day sad or the frog’s day sad, how is that productive?

You do deserve to be happy. You do deserve to see what’s good about today. But you can do that while not turning away from what you can do.

Don’t be a beauty passerby. See what’s beautiful to be inspired to be a light to someone else. Never forget to be thankful for what you have. For what problems you don’t have. And help when you can.

That’s your true gift and your true beauty. Recognizing what you can do while knowing the world isn’t all bad.
