This is Digby Pancake. Some may call me fresh.
My Granny Person always used to tell me not to act fresh when I would jump on her counter to steal her rotisserie chicken.
She used to tell Girl Person not to act fresh when she talked back. Which is weird.
But there is another way to be fresh. Especially when you are enjoying life.
You squeeze every bit of life out of your day. You make it fresh. Like fresh squeezed juice.
That’s what the persons are enjoying doing here in this California place.
They make all kinds of juice with the best ingredients they find. And they savor it. They enjoy it. They squeeze it. They love it.
When was the last time you enjoyed the fresh things in life? Simple pleasures, simply fresh?
If you think about it, it is harder to work at enjoyment. It’s the easy things that we ignore. Because maybe we think that they are too simple. Or too basic. It’s when life gets complicated that we start to recognize their importance.

There are real things in life. And things that are fake.
When I am at our campsite and the sun is shining and the breeze is blowing and I look over at my persons enjoying their fresh juice, I know that life is what is is meant to be some days.

Sure, there are always problems or obstacles in a day to overcome. Others will try to tell you what you love isn’t important.
But there is no excuse, not ever, to not take the time to freshen up your outlook.
Pour yourself a glass of fresh squeezed juice.
And savor every drop.
