Without Saying A Word

This is Peanut Butter Brickle. We are tired. All tired. Real tired.

Even when you are doing something you love to do, like we do, it’s still possible to feel exhausted.

It’s ok to wonder if you’re going in the right direction. It’s easy to question a lot of things.

That’s how Girl Person was feeling yesterday. Sometimes she gets down. And I know when she’s like that. Better than anyone. So when she was taking me and Digby on a walk during a long day of filming, I noticed she seemed to walk a little slower. She wasn’t smiling so much. And I knew even though I was tired too, I needed to show her I was there. I can’t talk. But I can show her I care without saying a word.

You see, even when things seem to be going good for persons, those can be the times that they wonder if they’re happy. Those can be the times they see what’s lacking in their lives. Those can be the times they shouldn’t ignore.

I’ve never understood persons. And persons don’t understand persons. Even though I can’t speak words, I can be there. And Girl Person said thank you. Sometimes there is nothing you can do for someone but to be there. And all of the time, that’s enough.

Listen to your thoughts not only when things go bad. But listen to your heart when things are going good. Persons? You don’t have to have your whole life figured out. But you do have to listen to the words in your head when they suggest a new path.
