This is Digby. The persons sure have had a long week. Work is hard sometimes. Even if you love what you do.
Work interrupts naps. And that’s just not acceptable in my book.
But after you have worked hard, I like what comes after. Accomplishment, but seeing ways to improve. Pushing yourself, and rest that feels extra good.
That’s what Girl Person said last night. After we were done filming with that Camping World place, we all breathed a sigh of relief. We haven’t been this tired in a long time.
But after we sat down and reflected, the persons had some wine. Me and Brickle had some peanut butter. And we all had a feeling of satisfaction in knowing we pulled together as a family.
And that is better than any other reward. Girl Person said it’s like red, red wine. Complex. A bit sweet. And not tart. And a bit smooth. Knowing the hardest part is over.
What’s your red, red wine?
What’s your reward for what you do and what you work hardest at? What motivates you to do what you do? Is it worth it?
It’s a question we can all ask ourselves.
If our work doesn’t make us better and if our reward is not what we want, maybe it’s time to fill your glass with something else.
We will be resting for a few days in this Temecula, California place.
And then? Stay tuned. Because we have no idea what’s next.
