This is Peanut Butter Brickle. Everyone has to earn that money stuff to buy stuff in this world.

Sometimes we like how we earn that money.

Sometimes we really don’t like how we earn that money. But maybe, we don’t have a choice.

That’s how I felt yesterday.

I was called upon to babysit. I pride myself in a high work ethic and a job well done. But I was done with this job five minutes after it started.

You see, I was asked to babysit my friends Juneau and Ellie. I know we won’t be staying here much longer, so I’m trying to earn a few dollars for some snacks to eat on our upcoming road trip. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

And you just do it. But sometimes, a fake smile just isn’t possible.

My slogan for my babysitting business is “If you need a rest, call the best. Or don’t.” Because although I am the best, I probably don’t want to do it.

Do you ever feel like that? Is motivation hard for you to find some days? I thought about where that came from. And I realized that I might just have off days. Days I need to rest and not be better than the rest. Because my body and my mind knows when I need a break.

We all have to earn that money stuff. But don’t get so burned out and stressed about it that you lose your motivation. That can happen.

To be our best, we have to rest. So schedule that in to your calendar. And treat it like a necessity. Because you are a necessity.

Also, don’t volunteer to babysit Juneau and Ellie unless you have a lot of patience, a strong arm. And a big paw to put down.

They are a bit unruly.
