This is Digby Pancake. I like pancakes. That’s no secret. But I also like to change things up. I like to try new things.

I like to eat new things.

I like to watch Girl Person make me new things to eat. We all need a pick me up now and then. Especially lately. It’s been cold.

It’s been cloudy.

And I heard persons say that they like something called comfort foods.

Foods to make their bellies warmer. Persons like food to remind them of home. Well, our home is on wheels.

And we have campfires a lot.

So what better way to feel comfort and to fill our bellies with yummy food cooked over the fire? Girl Person said any meal can be special and that every meal should be special. We don’t have to wait for a day that says it is special on a calendar. We can make our own.

She said special doesn’t have to mean fancy, though. It can mean fun and simple. It can be new traditions. A special meal can be eaten outside. And those are my favorite kinds of meals.

When you eat outside, even when it’s cold, it can make an ordinary day not so ordinary. It can be a day you’ll always remember.

Special meals though take time. And love. And planning. But that’s the fun of it.

When so many persons are sad about staying home and living the same day over and over again, wouldn’t some Campfire Puptatoes to share with your dog make staying home a little more fun? How about a lot more fun?

Girl Person said she likes to make Campfire Puptatoes on a board or a tray with all of the toppings to make it fun and creative.

She says she puts toppings on the tray or board that dogs can have and persons too. Then, she said if the persons want to add spices like salt to theirs, they can do that on their own!

Have you ever shared a meal with your dog? Why not? We like to be part of your pack. And isn’t it easier to watch us enjoy a meal with you instead of trying to steal yours? I thought so. Don’t we deserve a special treat?

So on this special day, a normal Monday, try some Campfire Puptatoes! A day on its own can seem ordinary. A plain potato or a sweet potato can seem ordinary. But think about all the possibilities you can add! Think about all of the toppings you can add! It is endless.

When you wake up on what you think is an ordinary day, instead of thinking it is ordinary, think about what you can add to it. Think about what you can add to someone else’s day. Yes. Even your dog.
