This is Digby Pancake. Have you ever looked at something and wondered how it could be so beautiful? The first time you see it, you feel happy. You feel alive.
That’s how we felt when we looked at the view at Black Rock Mountain State Park in this Georgia place.
It was sunshiney outside and the trees were green. We had a long drive up here.

And the view looked extra special after all that hard work.
We took a moment to appreciate it, but not too long. We had more things to see and other things to do.
We had to keep moving.
We looked at the campgrounds.

But I kept thinking about that view. I kinda wished I had stayed longer. But we kept on moving.
But I figured that the next morning would give me plenty of time again to look at the view. After all, it wasn’t going anywhere.

But when we headed to the top the next morning, well, we couldn’t see anything. Something called fog had rolled in. And if I had not seen the view the day before, I would not even have known it was there.

Girl Person says even though there are beautiful things to see every day, most of us don’t take the time to appreciate.

We always think that there is something better. Something more exciting. We take for granted who and what is right in front of us…right then. But they may not be there tomorrow.
Nature has a way of reminding us that things change. We may not want to think of time passing, but it does. So do people. So do dogs.

Whether you have an hour or a day, someone or something may not be there tomorrow. Don’t let the fog of life cloud your judgement. Appreciate. Take it all in.
