Moving Mountains Would Be A Piece Of Pancake

This is Digby Pancake. You might have noticed that I changed my name back from Digby Blandfood. Yes. Pancakes have been reintroduced into my diet…but I can’t say that they seem as yummy. Or fattening. But I’m getting used to it. That’s what I was told to say.

Being in a house with wheels can be challenging sometimes when you are a sick person, or two sick persons.

Maybe we should change our name to 2 Sick Persons. Sounds better than Digby Blandfood.

Yesterday was a day that the persons wished they could stay in bed. Have you ever had one of those days? Well, unfortunately, when you have to move your bed and your whole house a few campsites over, you can’t stay in that bed. You to pack it up. All up. Sick or not.

Girl Person said someone might as well have told her to move a mountain. That would have been just as easy.

But you do what you gotta do. You put those dry, gluten free pancakes in your mouth and you put your big person pants on. I don’t wear pants, so I didn’t take part in that.

Did we move as fast as normal? Nope. Did we wait till 11:59 before we vacated site 181 when check out was noon? Yep. And we didn’t feel bad about it.

And we didn’t worry what anyone thought. Because we were doing the best we could do under the circumstances. We didn’t climb our mountain fast. But we tried our best. And we did it. And it might have seemed like something ordinary to anyone else. But we knew it was everything to us.

You may have days like that. Or weeks like that. Or years like that. Do you feel like everything is a mountain? Do you feel like everyone gets over theirs faster? Do you feel like giving up because no one knows how hard you work at your mountain? We know the feeling.

Because normal life is hard for many and for many different reasons. Don’t ever let anyone’s expectations of you make you feel less worthy. Live up to your own. That’s who matters.

And for all the days you take even a few steps up your mountain, take a break and a breath and pat yourself on the back. And maybe eat a pancake. Can I have one?
