No, actually I don’t. I hope everyone is staying as cool as a cold piece of pizza. Am I the only one who loves cold pizza? Shhh…Girl Person does too. And cold spaghetti…
Someone told us the other day that we didn’t have to move to another country to feel alive again.
And we agreed! I could be happy most places. There are places I like better, yes.
Brickle and Digby had their favorites too.
But there is nothing wrong with that. And it’s no secret by now that Girl Person dreamed of living in Italy.
We are here. It’s our happy place for now, but it may change or need to be changed like a lightbulb.
I think it’s funny that persons don’t see that we all like different things! And really, names of places on this earth are made up and boundaries are made up and names of places are made up. So if you just like a certain part of the earth, I hope you’re there no matter what anyone else feels. Feelings are just that, feelings. And you need to listen to yours.
Sometimes, in order to work and to function, we have to change our lights. There was an old light hanging in one of the rooms here.
And Girl Person liked it a lot. But when Boy Person looked at it, it had to be fixed. It had been hanging in one place for too long and was too dirty and too broken.
He kept it, but he is changing it. And that’s like us. We may need parts of us fixed, and parts may be broken. But underneath, maybe you need to find your lightbulb again.
If a light can be replaced, most people won’t try to fix the old one. But we all deserve to be fixed and not replaced. We can’t be replaced, me or you.
No one can. So find what makes you feel alive and recharged and fix what’s made your light go out.

I went from living 44 years in the Chicago area to moving across country to the LA area. I l8ved there for 17 years and then met the love of my life, but she couldn’t handle the heat, so we moved to Olympia, WA. I truly believe I should go back to LA, but I’m afraid it won’t be like it was and my bubble will bust. I’m normally not a risk taker. But maybe I should.
Oh Fruity, you are so wise and today’s blog is so true. We all need a change sometime. Sometimes a vacation does the trick, other times it is that we MUST follow our dream. You and the persons are able to follow GP’s dream and I assume BP was excited to go as well. We only have one life and in the scheme of things, it is short and should be LIVED, not just an existence. If many of your followers are like me, we love living the dream with you all. If we can help, we want to and hep make your dream a bit easier. If the truth is really told, many of us would love to be in your place, hardships be damned. At my age, I can’t do what you all did, so I take tremendous joy in following you and the persons as you try to make this world a better place for all creatures. Big hugs to the three of you
