This is Fruitycake. You may not believe this, but even though my name has fruit in it, I love vegetables too. No, not as much as pizza. But if you put some vegetables on pizza, that’s the best!
Last night was pretty hot here. We ordered some fans called solar fans for the upstairs so we could sleep, but they haven’t come yet.

So we sleep with the windows open and it’s pretty neat to see the fireflies dancing in and out.
Sometimes they even land on me in bed and I look extra cute! Who needs a nightlight when you have your own dancing fireflies?
There is always beauty to come out of things that may make us uncomfortable. Because there is always a lesson. Just like the fireflies. I wouldn’t have this experience if I had air conditioning! So you take the good and the not so good and go with it. It’s a trick of mine that’s better than knowing how to sit. That’s for sure.
Because when Girl Person got really this morning, she went outside to get some air. That’s when she saw the bats flying all around! It was amazing to see! They were in swarms and dancing just like the fireflies. It’s like they were working in shifts to make us amazed, night and the beginning of the day.
But then she saw something else. The wild pigs had apparently made reservation at The No Fence Restaurant. It’s not hard to get into this place. Because the name speaks for itself.

Yes, they had dug around and helped themselves to the special of the day. Yellow squash, which around here is called yellow zucchini. They didn’t eat it all, just a lot of it.
But if you order the special of the day, we do have to limit quantity. This isn’t like breadsticks at Olive Garden.
Now, as much as we all were looking forward to some squash, the pigs did indeed leave us the flowers. And what can you do with those? They are delicious and you can eat them!

No, they won’t turn into squash, but they are still a blessing to have.

Some may argue that The No Fence Restaurant should have had a fence. And that we shouldn’t have planted things without one. But the truth is, we couldn’t afford a fence right now and we couldn’t afford to wait to plant things. Because we wanted to do it and we were willing to take a chance.

Because if someone else is that hungry, let them eat squash.
I suppose it’s easier to guard all our resources and hang on to all we have and not be giving. But The No Fence Restaurant serves everyone. It’s a way of thinking and life that if we can give help or support to someone who needs it, it’s a blessing back to us. Just like the yummy flowers we can stil eat and enjoy.
There is enough in life for all. Love, joy, thanks and the spirit of giving makes abundance in life. Try The No Fence Restaurant and make reservations for all.
