This is Fruitycake. We closed our eyes for one moment, and when we opened them, somehow, poof! Things changed overnight.
And we had people trying to sleep here overnight.

We want to fill social media with happy ways to an animal’s life. We give our time and resources to this cause. We have worked daily for over a decade to grow our pages to help provide free exposure to shelters and rescues at no cost. We reserve space for animals in need. Not sponsors. But we need your support.
If you’d like to help us continue this cause and mission which includes blogs, videos and more, you can contribute any amount here. We cannot do this without you. Head to https://tinyurl.com/Fruitycakeblog to help!
Wild pigs? Yeah. They are here too.
When we came back from getting heating fuel yesterday, there was a train. A train of about 30 wild pigs including babies.
Boy Person went ahead of us and I had to stay in the middle of him and Girl Person. I was barking and barking and they didn’t seem to care.
In fact, they kept snorting and growling and that made me even more mad. We were ringing cow bells and speaking our best Italian to tell them to go away. But we probably should have been speaking pig Latin. I realize that now.
As you can see, yesterday was a bit confusing. We weren’t sure why all the wild pigs came out at once. And we weren’t sure why anyone would choose to carry up their bicycles and try to sleep under the Mama Mia rock. No. We can’t charge people to sleep here. It’s not allowed. We can however tell them about the wild pigs and see how fast they run.

Sometimes, we feel so isolated and remote.

And sometimes, we feel like when the tourists get here, we live in the busiest place on earth.
But you know what I think? It shows that we must live in a pretty special place.

It shows that although our trials are many, and that we have a long way to go to even be comfortable, that it will be worth it.

And that maybe, and actually, no maybes about it, we were the ones meant to be here. We were the ones to make a difference here for the animals and wildlife.
That we were the ones who were willing to do the work, and who wanted to do the work. And that we needed to do it for ourselves.

Maybe, and no maybes about it, you were meant to be where you are. You were meant to make a difference there. Maybe, and no maybes about it, you deserve to be happy where you are and to take care of the earth and others. Right. Where. You. Are.
Choices in life lead us to challenges sometimes. But maybe, and no maybes about it, there is a reason. Find your reason today. Don’t wait another minute.
Really think about what you can do on your piece of this earth. And believe in your reason. I do.
