Wrapping It Up

This is Fruitycake. They say that every day is a gift. I don’t know who they are. But I am definitely a gift right now. Because I am all wrapped up in shirts and bandages and harnesses. I even have a bell on like a cow.

Good thing I have a bell on. That’s what I hear the cows wear in that Switzerland place. And I will be wearing one when our friends come next week. They are coming to visit. It will be very nice to see them again.

The persons have been working extra hard on getting me better. My leg just won’t cooperate. My chest is healing pretty good. And I don’t have much of an appetite.

But the attack happened just a week ago. And sometimes, it can take a little while to get better.

Sometimes, you do your best. I do miss hiking. But I can take the short walk to the sea.

When it’s not raining. Because being on a leash is hard when you’re trying to get down the path.

My leg may be wrapped. But I’m so fortunate to still have it. And that my friends is a gift.

Even though the persons woke up today a little down because of the rain and cold, they also are mostly down because I don’t feel my best.

Girl Person said she learned when taking care of Brickle that being a caregiver is one of the hardest jobs in the world.

But it does give you perspective on how much of a gift good health is. How we all rely on each other. That in fact, every day is a gift.

This last year or so has been hard. And Girl Person says it’s no secret she turns 51 next week. She says she used to be self conscious about her age.

But that she’s happy she is still here to be able to make her life better. And you can do it too! She says her day is no more important than any other day. And that she already has all the gifts in her life she could ever need or want. She has a waterfall.

A bed. Me. Boy Person. A chance to make life better with each day. Yes! That’s a gift!

My leg is all wrapped up. And the bandages keep having to be changed. We have a call into the vet person. And we see him again Wednesday. The chance to have a new week to be our best is a gift. For us all. And I’m so happy I’m here to celebrate.

Make the blog possible for March 2025!

Month by month. So here is our drive for March. All tips for the remainder of the month go to supplies like necessities and Fruity’s care to be able to provide the blog and content and sharing of animal rescues on our pages. Content creators and writers all make their living thru their audience. And we think of our audience as friends. We never ever want anyone to give when they can’t. Or don’t want to. But if you think what we do and will do for March and 2025 is important, we thank you!

Oh dear Fruitycake I sure hope your leg is going to be ok. Everyday I am almost afraid to read this because of how worried I am about you and how badly you have been hurt. It would be devastating if you lost your leg over this. Those pigs need to be taken away. They are just too dangerous!! I wish you had a safe place on that mountain. I hope the persons will be carrying something to protect you should this happen again! Please be ok Fruitycake I am so heartbroken that this happened to you. Sending love, hugs and prayers💔🐾😥🙏
