The Same But Different

This is Peanut Butter Brickle. I think that I’m growing as a person the last week and a half. And it took flying to a different country for that to happen.

I was caught up in thinking I had seen it all. I mean, I did travel around the states numerous times. I liked saying that.

I’ve realized a few things since we got to this England place. They like beans. A lot.

They like to walk. A lot.

They like washers. But not particularly dryers.

They like flowers. A lot of flowers.

And many others things.

It’s all the little things. They may speak the same language as us. Yes. It’s the same. But different. Just like me. Now I’m the same. But different.

Because the last week and a half has taught me that I don’t know as much as I thought I did.

The last week and a half has taught me that I needed to grow more in my viewpoints. In my knowledge. And that’s ok. Even me…Peanut Butter Brickle…has benefited from my time here so far.

And it makes me wonder how each of us could be better, or kinder, with learning about other places. We can be the same. But different with knowledge.

All of us are from somewhere! All of us have roots. But don’t let the roots stunt you from growing and being better.

I am slowing down in speed. I am slowing down with age. But I’m not slowing down with joy and learning. And there’s always room to be better.
