This is Fruitycake The Raccoon. I spend a lot of my time waiting lately.
And although I am an impatient sort of fellow, I don’t mind. Because Brickle is going slower.

And he’s not been sleeping well. He doesn’t deserve or need to be in a rush. It’s my duty to wait.
I’m his backup, after all.

We’ve been doing a lot of packing and rearranging plans the last few weeks. Then we do a lot of waiting too. And this week, it’s especially hard to wait.
Because we are waiting on news from the Vet Person. News to see how Brickle’s heart and lungs look. News to see whether or not he can have surgery in the next weeks ahead.

But instead of waiting for bad news, or hard news, I decided today that I would wait on good news. I want to think positive. And it will help everyone else around me. Especially Brickle.
Because I don’t want him to think anything is his fault. Or that we can’t handle whatever news is to come. Because we can. And we will.

It’s important to be thankful for days like this and weeks like this. We find out how we can look beyond our own feelings and help someone when they need us the most. Listen to the needs of others above your own.
Preparing myself for whatever news is to come means I think positive while I’m doing that.

Waiting for good news is sure better than waiting for the not so good news. I choose to wait with Brickle and not wait for Brickle. I get to be with him more. I get to learn from him more. Life is full of choices. I choose him. And snacks.
Brickle has always watched out for everyone. Now, I get to watch him more and in turn, I’m learning what I’m capable of too.

Sending good vibes your way Fruitycake for Brickle. It is always hard to wait on the vet persons. Done it alot of times. Crystal the beagle has her new vet senior ck up on Wed. She just had a ck up in March but since we moved had to find a new vet person. We will be waiting to see if a new rx has help with the protein in her urine so that will be a new thing… so ❤️ and 🙏 all around for all pets waiting on there test results. 🙂❤️🐾🐕🦺
