How You Get There Is Your Decision

This is Peanut Butter Brickle. Persons try to help me all of the time. Because they say that I am older, they frown at me being independent and going down a mountain all by myself to a waterfall. Please. Yes. I may be older. But that doesn’t mean I can’t do it. And I do.

You see, everything in life has a bit of danger to it. Just driving in your car can be dangerous. So when others tell me that i shouldn’t go out of my way to get somewhere that I want to go, I simply don’t understand.

We went hiking to a couple waterfalls here in this West Virginia place this weekend. Yes. The hills were harder to get down than usual. But that was ok by me. It made me think a little harder. It made me feel alive.

The persons had their own ideas about how I should go down the path. They had their own ideas what would be easier. But I had my own ideas. And I knew best. I know my stability. I know my strength. I knew what would work. And you do too.

Just as Fruitycake deserved to see the waterfall and get there the way he wanted to, so did I.

You may have a goal you are trying to accomplish. Or a place in life you want to be. Don’t let anyone tell you the best way to get there. It’s ok to listen to others. But do what your heart tells you to do. It has the best directions.

You have the most strength. How you get there is your decision. And your decision only. There is no one else who can move your feet but you. Go the way you want to. Believe in your steps.
