This is Peanut Butter Brickle. So many times, persons ask me and Fruitycake what our names our. Our persons tell them.
And usually they either get a blank stare, hear them wrong, or laugh. I’ve become used to this. And I don’t mind.
I like to hear persons laugh. It usually means that they are happy. And that is rare. We all need to laugh at ourselves. We are quite the characters…all of us. You and me.
We went to a little festival this weekend. And there was a person there drawing others. Girl Person thought it would be fun to have a picture of me and Fruitycake. I mean…we don’t have enough pictures! I was ok with the idea. Because I know that my handsome is always in need of appreciation. But then I looked at the picture. It wasn’t what I expected.
It was a drawing. Yes. And it was funny. I saw myself in a different way. Fruitycake looked cute. I looked happy. And I loved it. I realized that maybe sometimes I’m too serious. And I realized that we are all a character of ourselves. We could all have our own cartoon. We could all tell a story. Isn’t that wonderful? It’s ok to laugh at yourself. It’s ok to lighten up in a world that is heavy.
We are all individually humorous. Amazing. A life. You are a character. And I like you. Now it’s time to pick one trait out that you like about yourself. And let’s make it stand out! I see you…you are such a character.

I have an idea for that! How about you contact that artist and make sure it gets a copyright, then add the truck cab around the picture, as if you guys are looking out the window. And THAT can be your next shirt. Or maybe you could get the artist to copyright it and allow you to make prints. I’d buy one! One big enough to frame and hang on the wall, of course. That’s a really great caricature! You both look funny but also really cute, and definitely captures your likenesses. I’m ready to have it on a shirt or in a frameable print I can hang on the wall along with my cat, bird, and butterfly wall decorations.
