This is Peanut Butter Brickle. Do you have trouble sleeping like our persons do? No matter how tired they are, they say that their brains are on a constant treadmill. Running. Running. Running.
I’m not sure why problems seem so much worse at night. They seem bigger. Scarier. Louder. I’ve heard that monsters live under beds. I think that they like to come out.
Girl Person says when she was little, a certain pizza place and their entertainment kept her up at night.
What do you do when you worry? You waste time. You waste energy. You waste imagination. Because think of what you could do if you used that energy to live?
It’s been hard to deal with all of the cold weather lately for many people. We’ve had some inconvenient days here too. So many that it gets easy to forget there are good days. It’s easy to forget the sun when you can’t see it. Or feel it.

So yesterday when the weather was pretty, Girl Person commented that it was heavenly. And someone told her that these were the days that they live for. I really took that in.

No matter what your problem was, if you could think of the best days ever, could you make it through? If you couldn’t sleep at night, could you focus on wonderful days instead of worst case scenarios? Perhaps. But I know it’s hard to do that.
It’s also hard to not sleep.
It’s hard to feel bad. To struggle. It’s worth our effort to try and remember the days that we all live for. You know what kind of day is your most favorite. Why don’t you tell us about it?

We all deserve the good days. We all deserve to try. Someone else needs us. Someone else wants us to be around.
Someone else wants us to make up and help them through their day. Let’s all try together.

Are there more good days than bad? Are there more good people than bad? I think so. Live for the good days. Live for the good people. Live for you.
