This is Digby Pancake. It’s ok to take a step back sometimes from daily life. It’s ok. We all need to.
Sometimes, life can get quite overwhelming. We don’t know how to make things better. We just don’t know what to do. Time keeps going.
But what happens when you take that step back? Eventually, your goal should be to get going again.

And if you’re Girl Person, you take that first step. But you didn’t put on the right shoes.
Yep. Girl Person isn’t known for paying attention to detail in any setting.
Girl Person isn’t known for the condition of her shoes.
So after a day and two nights of rain and cold weather, she was determined to get out on the trail.

She said it would do us good to go to that Tennessee place and see a waterfall.

Brickle and I were good with that.

But we started to question our chauffeur when she got in the car, started the engine, and she realized something felt funny.

I didn’t know what felt funny. But I knew what looked funny. Her feet. In socks. And flip flops. In her haste to get back on track, she had put on the wrong shoes. She’s also not known for her fashion sense.
She laughed and said she was glad she had realized her error before getting on the trail. I was too. It would have been quite an embarrassment.
Have you looked down when you’re trying to look up? We all have to take that first step to feeling better. No matter what we are trying to get thru. But taking a first step in the right shoes is key.
We have to have the right mindset. A direction of where we are heading. A goal.

So when we are trying to be positive, remember to equip ourselves in the best way we know how.
You can do it. But start off on the right foot so that you don’t have to back track.

And change your shoes.
