This is Fruitycake. I’m good at speaking my mind. There is no doubt about that.

But what you may not know is that I’m also very good at sticking my nose where it doesn’t belong. It’s a talent of mine.

Yesterday, we were on a hike and there are a lot of those tourist people around. They walk on my usual path and sometimes there are little persons too. Like yesterday. Except one of the little persons was carrying a giant rock and about to throw it.
So Girl Person decided that it was better we not walk in front of him. His mom person was busy with another smaller person who tripped, started crying, and then we were faced with a dilemma.

We could either take our chances and walk past the crying person to the rock person. Or wait till the mom person kept walking with the crying person and follow her. This decision kept replaying in Girl Person’s mind, it took too long, and I looked up to see the mom person bent over. So, I decided to stick my nose where it didn’t belong.
The mom person shrieked, said something in Italian, and the crying person cried harder, and the rock person threw the rock into the sea. That’s where Girl Person wanted to jump, but instead, she pretended like she hadn’t saw a thing and we kept on going…except faster.
Let me tell you something. Persons stick their noses where they don’t belong more than dogs do. And they cause drama and trouble and unnecessary stress to others, including themselves.
Learn from my mistake, and sometimes, just keep on walking to where you need to go. Don’t worry about others. Sometimes kindness is watching your own steps.

Fruity, I agree with you. Don’t stick your nose in other people’s business. As much as you might wan5 to help, if you don’t know the person or the circumstances, you probably won’t be helping. Of course if it’s a friend of yours and you sense that person needs you, then stop and ask if you can help. Basically, leave it alone.
