This is Fruitycake. The world sure seems heavy right now, doesn’t it?
No matter where you live, and I’ve lived quite a few places so far, you realize that every place and every person has concerns. Problems. But they also have beauty.
How many problems does it take to outdo a waterfall, for example? How many problems would it take for you to be standing under a waterfall and not feel it?
I think it’s impossible. I know this because I have a waterfall. I call it Fruity Falls.
And I have no doubt that Brickle would have been so impressed by this waterfall. Even more impressed than his own beauty. And that’s impressed.

Every day, when the weight to everything we have to do overwhelms us, we go stand by the waterfall.

And you know what? Even if it raining, we stand by it. And we still hear it. The magical part? The harder it rains and storms, the bigger the waterfall.
The world seems to have many huge problems now. But when problems get bigger, it’s time for beauty to get bigger too. We recognize it more. We feel the contrast more. We see it more. If we concentrate. But the trick is not to close your eyes to the beauty. If you do, you’ll only feel the weight of the water falling. You won’t feel the waterfall itself.
I won’t let others take the joy away from my waterfall.

Because no matter what work we have to do on our house, the waterfall will exist. It will be itself.

So be yourself despite the problems around you. And don’t ignore the joy and beauty around you.
