This is Fruitycake. This week has been, well, a bit painful.
First, Girl Person got hit by a wasp, and you may know, she’s really allergic.
It took her a few days to even feel back to normal, but as usual, she keeps on ticking.
Then, yesterday, a random, mystery beetle decided to get in her sock. Yes, she knows to check her shoes for spiders and scorpions here. But her socks? She didn’t think about it.
So she put on her socks, then her shoes, and we went for a walk. And if you know Girl Person, you may also know she has a lot of trouble with her feet. And sometimes they are numb and she doesn’t feel stuff. And she didn’t feel the beetle in there that was biting her foot to pieces.
By the time we made it down the mountain, she did feel it and there was the beetle. Still alive and kicking, and ticking just like Girl Person. The beetle was shocked at his adventure, but walked away with a few pieces of Girl Person’s foot.
Have you ever had something that bites you? No, not a few bugs like Girl Person, but something you have to deal with…a reality that you’d rather not?
You may have read the important blog yesterday. And it’s a reality that we have to go talk to important persons on August 1st that will decide if we can stay as long as we would like. We have to show them we want to be here, the changes we have made, and our future plans to help animals and yes, people.
It’s a scary thing to be honest with you. And Fruitycake is always honest. That’s me. That’s all I know how to be.
Reality in life for persons means they have to do things sometimes that are hard. Some things that seem absolutely impossible.
This is one of those times. But things that may seem impossible aren’t always!
It’s how you persons perceive the reality. And knowing you can shape it the way you need to, if your heart is in the right place. If your heart is there, the reality of your dreams can follow.
Reality may bite, but don’t let it keep biting you. Make reality a really good thing. Make reality work for you.
