This is Fruitycake. I’ve met many persons and individuals in my life. Many dogs and cats and birds and even a toad last week named Pineapple.
Because we traveled so much, all of the time in fact, we never had neighbors. Sure, there were campsite neighbors. Some we really liked. And some, we were glad to pack up our house and pull away. Some, we left early due to Brickle’s intolerance of, well, many.

But last week, when Pineapple the magic toad came to visit, I was excited because I’m not moving around now. And so we built him a house! Boy Person made it all nice. And you know what? Pineapple left.
Now, I don’t think it was Boy Person’s house making skills.
But Pineapple apparently was a traveling toad. He rambled on.
At first, I was pretty upset. So were the persons. But then we realized that perhaps Pineapple found a house he liked better.
Perhaps, he didn’t want a house at all. Perhaps, he had a family to go home to. But he knew he was loved and wanted by us. And he is always welcome here. Just because Pineapple had to move on, there will be a house for another toad. For sale or rent.
You see, we never want to stop helping others, even if it means we only see them once. It matters. It also matters if you’ve known your family for always. Help them from your heart. Not because it’s expected.

Lately, we have felt very lost. But we know that we have to help ourselves to help others. Our purpose hasn’t changed in helping animals and people. In fact, it’s stronger than ever. We just don’t know the full picture. But we can picture a better future. For all. Hopping to it!
