She Said Get A Bigger Bucket

This is Fruitycake. Has anyone ever told you something really obvious? Like how cute I am?

I find that sometimes persons can’t see something right before their eyes!

Like Girl Person. Since we don’t have a washing machine or enough electricity up here yet, she has been washing clothes in a bucket for months now.

Please keep the blog here for June

She has her routine down pat! She is able to use that bucket very efficiently.  Only problem was in the winter time when it was super cold and she had to use a stick to stir it. Soupy soup.

Somehow, the fact that she doesn’t have a washing machine was all that was in front of her. She had solved the problem, she thought, to the best of her abilities.

And it became so routine. Until her mom person, Gandma, told her “there must be a bigger bucket you can use.” And it’s like lightening had struck her. She sure hadn’t realized this might be easier.

You see, she only had one solution in her mind. A washing machine….someday. But she didn’t realize there was something she could do now to make it easier…now. And so, she got a plastic tub. Just like a bigger bucket, but better.

Sometimes you don’t see a way out of a situation or problem except for one solution. But there is is more than one way to eat a pizza.

And there sure is more than one way to solve a problem.

Open your heart to suggestions and you might just get your bigger bucket too.

Fruity, many times we are like Girl Person and we don’t think outside the box.I build model cars for a hobby and have for about 50 years. My ability has improved with almost every model. A new way to hold small pieces, a new glue, etc. you have to be open to change. Change can be very good if it makes things easier or better for your life.
