The Dirty

This is Fruitycake.  You know, the last few days have been really dirty. Really muddy. Cold. When the rain falls here, it means business. It doesn’t care that everything closes in this Italy place from 12-3. Nope. It keeps working.

Girl Person says she has to keep going. That she won’t let it get to her. She says that if she cries about falling or being tired, she will just be more sore and tired. She says the best thing is to smile thru.

Even when you’re walking thru it. She says a few months ago, she wasn’t this strong. And she can only get stronger.

A lot of people in my opinion would pay for this spa treatment. We have mud masks.

And even mud for your feet.

We have cold plunges.

We even have stone massages when they fall down on us.

And then, the spa treatment may even include truffles. Yeah. We are sure we must have them with all the digging that the pigs do here.

Tip Fruity with a treat here

Life is hard and dirty. Sometimes we are even done dirty by others. But we have to handle it the best that we can. And we all can. You see, we do have a choice on how to handle dirty or sticky situations in life. We do. Either clean yourself off and make yourself better. Or be a stick in the mud and not be positive. I choose, we choose, to be positive. Because we want to.

Do we hope for better weather ahead? We do. And we all can hope for better situations ahead. But until then, find the joy you can. Only let in your head who you want there. And tell the other to make an appointment at our spa.

Message from Girl Person:

I See The Flowers, Brickle

I got a sudden urging to dedicate the blog to Brickle and or Digby on Sundays. I think that their wisdom is still needed. I think that their presence is still felt. And I know that something or someone reminds me of them every day.

Today, I saw a picture of Brickle and Digby that made me smile. I laughed, because every time we saw a field of flowers, they knew there was going to be a picture taken. Over the years, they started requesting where they wanted to have their photos taken. And they took the absolute best. Brickle, especially, demanded his photo be taken at certain locations by just standing there proudly. He was a professional. Often, I didn’t see the opportunity. I still find myself looking for the best lighting for him. I see the flowers, Brickle. I see them today. Thank you.

As I took Fruitycake to the beach this morning in the rain, I was feeling a little down. This is the first year I haven’t been in the states for the big game. And something little like this feels so strange. I can’t explain it. But I can’t explain the cheery feeling I got when I saw a little piece of a flower tile on the sand. And then I found a little flower bead. I see the flowers, Brickle. Thank you.

How is possible that a dog like Brickle is still helping me to live now that he’s been gone for over six months? I’ll never get over losing him. But I appreciate the lessons he taught me and is still teaching me.

Even though I have to brave the rain today and mud to get supplies, I will stop and see the flowers for you, Brickle. You’ll be with me even more today. I still need you.
