For Forever

This is Fruitycake. This weekend was a lot of work here at our little house in this Italy place.

But we always have a lot of work. It won’t be ending any time soon!

Boy Person worked on trying to get some solar panels on top of the ruins to give us more power.

Girl Person kept working on the bedroom paint. Hopefully, this week we will get to finally see some color in there!!

We are so thankful for every one of you in the 2 Traveling Dogs family. For over 14 years we have written a blog from our rescue dogs’ points of view. And we hope to continue for June! Don’t forget you can make your contribution recurring as well!

In between all the work of cleaning and planting and pasta making, there was time to watch some lizards. There was time to watch some ants. There was time to see the wild parakeets and admire the sea.

In fact, if I took the time to write everything down that was good and pure and simple and wonderful, it would take up many pages.

It got me to thinking how we have been overwhelmed and distracted here as of late with everything hard and difficult. But in reality, even if everything stayed the same, it would still be a privilege to be here.

We seem to have a new focus though. A dream we always had in the back of our minds but that we were too afraid to voice, because it would be hard work too.

We don’t know exactly how, what, when or who, but we are researching now to determine how best to use our land for animals and or people, wildlife, education, and who to leave it to when we are not here to take care of it.

Why? Because it is a special place meant for us to be here and meant to be used in a way to help for…forever.

Available worldwide here!

If we only think of the now and don’t care what happens after we are not here, that’s selfish.

Think of how many things you enjoyed just this weekend.

Think of how many things you have enjoyed your whole life so far. Don’t you want to show appreciation? We do.

We will. And for forever is our goal.

I truly know, even as a dog, that this earth was meant to be forever.

And what happens when we are gone, we don’t know for sure.

Ok, dogs do, but we aren’t allowed to tell. I will say make way in your days to see the good and make it your effort to see how to help with what you’ve been given. It will matter…

Fruitycake

This week’s needs are more solar lights for safety. There are always numerous expenses each week and any amount is greatly appreciated to help us reach this new chapter of our lives and mission.
