This is Fruitycake. Boy Person told me today that nothing is as sweet as fruit. That’s me. He even sang me a song to try and cheer me up. 

Me and Girl Person were supposed to go to school today. But we both didn’t sleep very good.

She has a sore throat and a headache for the last week. And well. You know what happened to me. I prefer to forget that. But my leg isn’t letting me forget. 

We both thought it was best we didn’t go to school. Because that meant taking a couple of buses and walking. And I need to save my energy for the vet person tomorrow.

I’m not looking forward to that, but if I want to feel better, I do need to go. Nothing is as sweet as fruit, except for a Fruitycake that feels good. 

Do you remember a time when you felt really good?

Maybe when you were younger or stronger or before that bad thing happened to you.  Nothing is as sweet as that version of yourself.

But you can get that version back, or at least how you felt then or your confidence or your inner strength.  

It may take work, just like me going to the vet person tomorrow. It may be hard for you to do. But nothing is as sweet as fruit. Except you.
