This is Fruitycake The Raccoon. Just a reminder that I’m not a real raccoon. I just like getting into trash.
Today, we head out to that Miami, Florida place. It’s a very long way to drive. But that is ok. We don’t mind. They don’t call us traveling dogs for nothing.
I also don’t mind leaving because I’m mad. Mad at the crows here. They stole my very favorite ball. My monkey ball with the monkey face on it. Even after Girl Person made them a salad.
I never thought I would have to protect my belongings from crows.
Who can you trust if you can’t trust a crow? I don’t know. Yes I do. Pretty much no one.
Seems to me that with some, the more that you give, the more that they take.
I don’t like to say this. But it is true. I’m seeing that we live in a world where no one can trust. Because when you do, you get taken advantage of.
I mean, Girl Person made the crows a salad of oranges and blueberries and even tomatoes. And what did they do? They laughed in my face by stealing my ball. Oh yes they did.

I was playing with it and went on a walk and when I got back, I heard them laughing again. And there they were. Taking my ball away to their crow castle. Somewhere. I don’t know where. And I never. Will.
I really miss my ball. My monkey ball. But I also miss the trust I had in the crows. Ok. I never trusted those crows. They yelled at me and Brickle all day. We had sort of a battle of wills for the week we were here. So what’s my point? I guess I’m just mad. And sometimes you don’t have a point when you’re mad.

If I’ve learned anything this week, it’s that there’s not a rule for trust. Every situation and every individual is different.
Not only do we have to protect ourselves and our heart, but we have to use our discernment. Trust your instincts. If in doubt, be cautious. And don’t give a salad to some crows and expect them not to steal your monkey ball.

We are on the way to Miami today! Let’s go!
