Adding Up

This is Fruitycake. I bet that you never thought I would have so much fur that I would turn into a sheep.

But here we are. I’m in that Italy place, by the way.

Are some things impossible? Perhaps. I don’t think I can turn into a cat today,  because I’m already a sheep.

But most things can be done. It just takes patience and time.

If you’ve lost count of the number of times you’ve visited 2 Traveling Dogs this year, we hope that means it’s given you at least $5 of joy. Please join the 2% of readers who give what they can to help keep this blog available for all at https://tinyurl.com/Fruitycakeblog

I have had allergies since I was born. When I was on the streets as a stray dog, I was on concrete a lot. And the vet persons think that I didn’t build up enough resistance to things like grass and stuff. So when I got older, and I started going camping with the persons, my health got worse. And it took years for us to get to this spot.

Allergy shots and tests and medicine. Special diets and no diets and nothing worked.  But for now, we found a good diet and medicine. Will this sheep phase last forever? We don’t know.

Help here

But we keep working at it. Because even when you reach a goal, you can’t just sit back and expect for it to always be that way.

It’s definitely easy for my persons to give up right now on a lot of things like the house and our paperwork and well, everything.

But progress is not going to happen overnight. It’s going to take a lot of little wins to make up the ending goal. And even when the house is fixed, just like the path, it will always have to be maintained.

I can’t say that we are comfortable right now. I can’t say we aren’t nervous for what the future may bring.

But one day and one little bit of progress each day. It will all add up. Just like all the fur I grew back.

I may have almost lost it all, but it made for a beautiful reminder that even when that happens, beauty can grow again.

Fruitycake

We have told each of our dog’s thoughts and stories every day since 2011. And we thank you for each day you’ve embraced us and our mission to Make Rescues The Breed Of Choice!! We can’t do it without you!!

But we are also taking it as a month by month commitment. This endeavor is costly for us to produce it every day without sponsors. It is. So if you feel compelled to tip here and there, we appreciate it. We also appreciate being able to put food on our table.

Month by month. So here is our drive for April and May. All tips for the remainder of the month go to supplies like necessities and groceries to be able to provide the blog and content and sharing of animal rescues on our pages. Content creators and writers all make their living thru their audience. And we think of our audience as friends. We never ever want anyone to give when they can’t. Or don’t want to. But if you think what we do and will do for 2025 is important, we thank you!

Dear Fruity, looks like the weather wasn’t too good. Lots of wind and rain and looked kinda cold. But, at least, you guys have at least one room with a good roof and it’s dry. Hope you guys have good weather for the weekend and maybe some time to relax for a little while. Have a good weekend.
