This is Fruitycake. If courage was easy to come by around here, I would open up my own pizzeria. Obviously, a pizzeria, ran by a dog would be a hit!
I could have all the pizza I wanted, put fries on every pizza, and accept tips in more pizzas
But the persons aren’t courageous enough to do that. And so I have to sit with just dreams.

Courage has also been lacking around here when it comes to hiking. You may have noticed that Girl Person hasn’t taken me hiking since the wild pig attack. She’s scared of it happening again. And I’m also scared. Because there is no pizzeria on the trails. Yet.

Anyway, courage is just not what she has right now. She keeps me on a leash except for the beach because she’s scared. She knows that I am not scared of those pigs and J pretty much forgot what happened. I still bark at them in the woods. And I just didn’t learn my lesson because I can’t read books or type yet.
Someone told Girl Person yesterday that living is not meant to be in fear.
That living your life sometimes means danger. Even sitting on a couch can mean danger when an ant bites you. But that’s a story for another day.

This week, it’s going to be about courage for us. Courage to hike again. Courage for Girl Person to go to the store by herself and not fall into a glass window. Courage for Boy Person not to fall down the mountain in mud getting firewood. Again, a story for another day.
What is courage about for you this week? I believe you can do it. I believe you can more than pizza with fries. And that, my friend is belief in you.

Now, let’s help Girl Person believe in her strength to be brave, not lacking in groceries and not falling into glass.

Wow, Fruity, courage is sometimes hard to find. For myself, I need courage to get off my butt and go to the store. You see, I’m very short and people stare at me. I used to yell back at them and ask, ‘hey, what is your problem’. Now I just look them in their eyes and they turn away. It’s the kids that bother me the most! They usually have idiots for parents sho obvious never talked to them about not staring at unusual people. I actually had one kid follow me and kept yelling to his mother, ‘mom, look at this’. I have a hard shell on when I go out and luckily, there are friendly clerks at where I shop, who know me. Then, it’s not so bad.
