This is Fruitycake. I’ve already had a sweet day so far. Girl Person has some type of infection where she had to get some medicine and juice. And so we walked to that Portofino place to get it.
It’s a very nice and easy walk along the sea. But at a point in the path, there was lots of commotion and construction. I was so scared, that even though I knew the good things on the other side of the noise, I wanted to turn around.
I would not budge. And so eventually, Girl Person said she would carry me past it all. She said I just needed some help. And that everyone needs help. Sometimes, everyone needs to borrow some courage. So she carried me to the sweet things on the other side.
When we got to that Portofino place, I walked around and saw my friends in the shops. I like to cheer everyone up that works there. Because they have a lot to deal with with all the tourists and crowds. They love to see me, and a certain bakery always brings me a little blueberry muffin! She says we are neighbors. I like neighbors with blueberry muffins.

This week has been eye opening and sweet for my persons too.
Especially Girl Person. She had lost her way. Although we’ve been happy to be here at our house and we knew we wanted to do something for animals here, we couldn’t find our way.
Girl Person says it’s hard for her and sometimes she finds it hard to wake up each morning. Not having a true vision and purpose is molto difficile. Very difficult.

But she started getting some suggestions and visions and dreams. Today marks 10 months since Brickle passed away.
And yet, he’s continuing to carry us to our purpose. We have some ideas to make this property into something special.

Some current ideas include part as a wildlife sanctuary, part as a farm for growing food for animal shelters and people.

We have plans for organized dog hikes up the path and adoption events.

It’s still a work in progress. But it’s time to get to planning.

Many of you helped to carry us this far. I can’t promise you a blueberry muffin on the other side.
But I can promise you we are going to keep on with Brickle and Digby’s purpose of making a difference. And I have a feeling you’re with us…

We arrived ten months ago with no indoor plumbing, no water and nothing. You’ve helped us so much. But we still need your help to get this property stable, comfortable and safer. This blog will always continue with your support, and now it can grow into something even bigger!

Copper is just the sweetest guy. He loves to give kisses, loves getting lots of scratches and pets, he loves to be loved. He gets along with other dogs. He can in with Esme & Apollo. He knows how to heal on leash, especially if you have training treats. And he takes those treats oh so gently!

I am still wondering if you have indoor plumbing yet? Do you have electricity into the house? Just wondering because I have no idea how you could function without these things.
