This is Fruitycake. I’ve already had a really full day today. Which is why the blog is a big late. I hope you’re ok with that and got some extra sleepy today. Yes, I call it sleepy cause I’m cute like that.

Me and the persons had to go into town yesterday to get some food and supplies.

I have to tell you a secret. The persons are really strong and determined. But carrying all of our stuff is starting to hurt their hands and backs. And so they’ve been doing more trips to carry less back. I know, I know. I should help carry stuff. But I have a heavier job. Keeping Girl Person motivated and happy. Me and her are a package deal.

Especially this morning, when she realized that she forgot the paper towels.

Here in this Italy place, most of the time when you buy paper towels, they are in one big roll. Not a million small rolls.  It makes it last longer without having so much waste.

But sometimes, like today, you need more. And it’s no easy task here when you forget something. It means 3 miles round trip for us to walk to Portofino to go to the one market open and hope that they have paper towels that day.

They did! So it was our lucky day. Even though me and Girl Person were tired, we did it. It was a small decision to make, but still a hard one. But when you are a package deal with someone you love, you stick together and help each other with everything. Even paper towels.

I know Brickle taught me a lot.

But he also told me that I had to gain more confidence in myself. He said time would do that. And it has.

I love my persons. I love that we all need each other right now, especially. And I love being a part of their lives. The ones we help are usually the ones that help us. Thank someone who is part of your package deal today.
