This is Sheriff Peanut Butter Brickle. And this week is going to be sort of a different one. No, I won’t be looking at myself in the mirror any less. Deputy Digby will still have his orange shoe on.
But we have some exciting things coming up. And we want you to know about them. November 1st.
So for the next few days, we are going to be giving you clues. Clues to what fun things are going to happen in November. And maybe beyond November. And today, I want to talk about spaghetti. That’s your first clue.
Spaghetti. I love spaghetti. The persons also love spaghetti.
At one time, I thought I liked spaghetti with meatballs. I thought that was my favorite. But now, I like it with meat sauce. I love it with meat sauce. Because I’m saucy.
At one time, I thought that spaghetti should be served soft. Now, I like it al dente. But I keep wondering. How do they really cook it in Italy? Could I learn?
Imagine how wonderful spaghetti would taste in that Italy place. Imagine overlooking the cliffs in the Cinque Terre with your plate of spaghetti. Yes, Girl Person has showed me pictures of that place. I wonder how grand that would be…to eat spaghetti there. Could the RV go there to get some?
The persons tell me that nothing is impossible. The persons tell me that once you travel and continue to travel, that the world seems much smaller. And that if you have a dream…to find a new favorite place…you try to figure out a way to get there. Some may say that spaghetti doesn’t taste any different wherever you eat it. Well, you say tomato, I say tomaaaato. I also say that I could be the new Chef Boyardee.
Sometimes, it may seem like a dream is impossible. You want to give up before you even start.
Sometimes, you dream of that spaghetti, but it seems overwhelming to cook it. You don’t want to get your tomatoes or your pasta. But if you imagine it…real hard…you can’t help but put forth that effort. Because you know it will taste so good. The best things in life, the best favorite things in life, are like that spaghetti.
Eat the spaghetti to forget your regretti. Or maybe, don’t have regrets in the first place. Because your new favorite thing is waiting for you to find it.
All of us have a favorite something. Whether that is a favorite food or a favorite place. But I have found that sometimes, even if something is your favorite, that can change and you can have a new favorite. That’s the deliciousness of life. It tastes like spaghetti.
