This is Fruitycake. Around here, nothing gets wasted. Pizza doesn’t get wasted. Focaccia certainly doesn’t get wasted. And spaghetti? No way.
When I think of all the things that persons have to live an easier life, it’s amazing. Cars help them to get places faster, even places they don’t want to go.

Refrigerators help them to keep food fresher longer. Even things they don’t want to eat, forget about and then throw away.
There are a lot of things made to make life easier for them that they don’t appreciate. And they take it for granted. Around here, we take nothing for granted. Because whatever is in this house has to be carried up the mountain.
And whatever is here already, we put it to good use. Some things are life sustaining actually. Like the waterfall that gives us water. Water we use for everything, and water that gets used more than once. To make new life.

Every day, Girl Person has to wash their clothes in a bucket. And when the water is used for the clothes, then it gets used for the garden to water the plants.

If she just threw it on the ground and didn’t have a plan for it, they would just have to make more trips to the waterfall. And that’s more energy. And energy is not wasted here either.
Just like dirty water can still be useful, so can lessons we learn the hard way in life. Things that we go thru may take a lot of work to make it thru to the other side.

But we use those lessons not to make the same mistakes again. We use that dirty water to make us better. Even useful to others. Lessons we have learned can actually help others not to make them too. We don’t want to just throw the lessons we learn in life, use our experiences to make the world better.

I don’t know the full reasons why we are here on this property in this Italy place.
And some things we have had to learn the hard way.

But stay with us, we are growing a future here. Dirty water? Let’s get to work!

🐾 Peanut Butter Brickle’s Memorial Picnic Table Fundraiser 🐾
Honoring a True Friend and Adventure Buddy
Peanut Butter Brickle wasn’t just a dog—he was a soulful explorer, a gentle friend, and the heart of many adventures. Whether he was hiking trails, inspiring smiles, or just being his unique self, Brickle touched countless lives.
This table will offer a spot for rest, reflection, and connection—just like Brickle did. It will be a place for people (and pups!) to pause, share a moment, and maybe even share a peanut butter snack.

You can use the dirty water to water the plants around the house. My mother taught me that when we were on vacation at my grandparents house in North Dakota.
