Blowing Groceries Out The Door

This is Digby Pancake.  My brother Peanut Butter Brickle has many, many talents.  He can talk about himself all day long.  He can think about himself all day long.  But one talent that I had no idea that he had?  Making me want to parachute out the car door.

Why would I want to do that?  Imagine you are having a leisurely drive.  The sunshiney is out.  OH, you are listening to your absolute favorite tunes. Yeah. I was jammin.

You think your day couldn’t possibly get any better.  Nope. No better at all.  And then?  You hear the muffled sound of…you don’t know what.  Until the don’t know what is now all over you.  Yep. Just call him Barfer Brickle.

You would think Girl Person would have heard the sound.  But when you are listening so intently to the tenth podcast of the day, you get a little distracted.  And I knew I had to take matters into my own paws.

At first I squirmed.  I stood up, turned around.

I did the hoky poky.  Nothing.

She just told me to sit down.  So I tried to roll the window down myself.  She asked me if I was crazy or something.  And then…finally…she saw it.  Just as parachuting out that door didn’t seem like a bad idea.

What was Barfing Brickle doing?  Oh, he was trying to stay away from me.  From the mess.  From the mess he caused on me.  And he wasn’t sorry about it all.  But I know who was.  Me.  Girl Person.  And just as we pulled in the driveway where the Big Barking Biscuit Buggy sat, we all couldn’t get out fast enough.

Let me just say…in case you are interested in buying our Jeep which is now for sale, it comes with a lot of memories.  Mishaps.  Mischief.  But it doesn’t come with the groceries that Brickle blew out.  Nope.  That went all over me.  He did it all in one. Swift. Motion.

I took it for the team.  And Brickle?  Your new talent did not go unnoticed.  I can only hope it was a one time feat.  Because you see, when you are sitting in the front seat, and you can propel a whole morning’s worth of groceries on the head in front of you, I have to admit…

That my friend is skill.  Well.  Played.
