Double Occupancy

This is Peanut Butter Brickle. I’ve heard that the journey is more important than the destination. And I guess if that is the case, we are doing good. Because we’ve been wandering and traveling around with no end destination for years and years. And years.

And now that we are planning our travels to that Italy place, the journey is more important than ever.

Because we have to get there safe. And we have to enjoy the trip.

Our persons researched different ways to get there and came up with the ship.

Problem is, the kennels are booked far in advance. Very far in advance. So we had to get on a waiting list for the voyage at the end of May. We got on this list many months ago. And I’m sorry to say, we still need one more kennel. And it sure is cutting it close. Real close.

That’s right. We may get everything ready to go and then not be able to go when we want to. But we have to plan that we will. We have to think positive. And we need you to think positive for us too.

Although I’m nervous about a week long boat trip, I’m ready. I’ve been thinking about this and I know j have to be a good example to Fruitycake that we can do this. We will be roommates for a week closer than usual. And although the persons can be with us during the day, at night, we can’t be with our persons.

But riding on a plane seemed much worse than that. So I’m going to have to start being able to sleep by myself. And it’s only a week. I can do it…right?!

Just a short time ago, we would have been so stressed that we were still waiting on a kennel and that it wasn’t for sure. But we have had to make many adjustments with this decision to go to that Italy place. And one adjustment has been telling ourselves that nothing is the end of the world. We can regroup. We will find a way. No matter what.

Double occupancy. It’s harder to find space. It’s harder to get the reservation. But these 2 Traveling Dogs and 2 persons are a package deal. We all go together no matter where we are. And hopefully it will be on that ship at the end of May. We will keep you updated!

Brickle….you’ve got this. At least you can see your humans during the day time and at night, Fruity will be close. Love you all.
