This is Fruitycake The Raccoon. Oh, I am in love! In love with everything right now! You know why? The weather changed overnight in this New York place. I have never…ever…felt such weather in my whole life!
Being from that Florida place, and trying to survive in a city on the streets all by myself, I didn’t get to notice much. Sure, I may have had a couple of cooler days then. But I don’t remember taking notice of those days so much. When you are just trying to live and to breathe and to protect yourself, it is hard to take notice of much else.
I don’t take it for granted when I feel the wind in my fur that is growing back. I don’t take it for granted when I see new things. And that is every day! I don’t take for granted this season called Fall.
Girl Person told me all about it. And in one day, I am falling head over heels in love with it. Are you happy about it? Are you excited? Please be excited for me.
Why do I want you to be excited too? Isn’t it the best thing ever when you are happy and others are happy with you?
It makes the happy even more happy! Brickle is even happy! He is content!
I can’t stop barking. He can’t stop telling me to be quiet. And it makes him happy to be the boss. That makes me happy.
Persons forget that it is ok to be excited about something as simple as the fall season. I wonder why that is! Who told them to be calm when they love something?
Who told them only children are allowed to smile when they please? We can all smile! Us dogs too!
Spending this week at Niagara Falls and feeling Fall has been one of the best weeks of my life! I look around and wonder how I got here.
It doesn’t make sense why I was picked out of 600 dogs at a shelter. But I don’t intend to take any of my days for granted.
Don’t take any of your blessings for granted. You have many of them.
Fall head over heels in love with fall this year! And spend your time living!
