This is Fruitycake. I’m the best helper. That’s at least what Girl Person tells me. She says that I’m her friend, that I make her laugh, and that I’m an all around good person.
Yes. I try to be. I try to go out of my way to be of assistance to her and to Boy Person. I feel like that’s one of my main purposes. To be kind and to make others laugh. Girl Person says I’m the kindest dog she’s ever known.
So if I am a good helper, and I am also funny, well, I don’t see anything wrong with trying to help something grow in a Fruitycake kind of way.
It’s no secret it’s been hot and dry here for especially the last couple weeks. So hot that even the cicadas are questioning their geographic choice. Sometimes I want to bark out the window for them to be quiet, but even my bark isn’t that loud.
But what I can do during this heat is make sure our garden is well watered. Especially the tomato plants.
That is where spaghetti and yes, my favorite, pizza, comes from.
We can’t help shelters and rescues without your help. This blog, message, animal and people rescue work just can’t continue without support from our readers and friends. I can’t handle a watering can on my own. It’s also what Girl Person uses to give me a bath. I don’t like that thing. So I use the Fruity watering system on those tomatoes.
Lift leg, hear Girl Person tell me not to do that, and then she has to use the watering can to water them again. It’s a great system if you ask me. I assume you asked me.
Girl Person says that’s not the way to help the tomatoes grow, but I know it is. You see, laughter can remedy the toughest of situations.
Laughter can put us into a state of enjoyment and not just survival. None of us were meant to live just to survive. We were meant to thrive like a well watered tomato plant!
Now, let’s wait for that pizza to grow. The Fruitycake watering system?
It’s better than any fertilizer I know.
