This is Fruitycake. Life. It’s full of complicated matters. Or is it?
As I was walking to town yesterday with Girl Person to pick up our twice weekly paper towels, I was admiring the flowers, and the sea and all of the boats out in the water.
It truly was a sight to see. A sight to see. That simple.
But Girl Person? She was worrying about the town being crowded and if she needed anything else she could carry back.
She was worrying about all she had to do for the day and if she had the strength. Plus she was worrying about the week. The whole week ahead. She has to get groceries today. And that’s worrying her too. And yes, there was more.
But me? I wasn’t worried about much. Except for her. That simple. Everything she worries about worries me.
Perhaps that why I’m jumping at every stick I see because I think it’s a snake after her screaming last week. That simple.
Everything you persons worry about carry on to us. It doesn’t matter if we don’t know how to pay bills or see bank accounts or understand arguments.
It doesn’t matter if we don’t hear about wars or bad things. If it affects you and you let it into your heart and spirit, it goes to us. That simple.
So keep in mind what you worry about. If you can recognize what can harm us, you won’t want to do that, will you? It’s that simple.

We’ve been working so hard and trying to find our purpose here, confident that Brickle got us here to broaden the mission we have always had to help animals and people. Now we are working even harder to get this property safe and comfortable for us while getting it ready to be used for a purpose.
With plans for educational videos and rescue spotlights and shows on USA and rescues around the world, this is our biggest chance to continue to make a difference for animals around the world!! We learned so much by traveling to 48 shelters and rescues in every state. We can use that knowledge NOW. Thank you for believing in us.

Hey, Fruity, we have garden snakes around here. Nothing big, but they are fast and scare me. That’s why, I’m pretty much a homebody. I only venture to town to get me groceries. I live 10 miles away from the store, so about once every two weeks I go shopping. I used to have a dog, but she died and we took down the fence for the back yard. But with the cost of taking care of a pup and me is too much on my bank account. So I live vicariously through Fruity.
