Girl Person has had a life of fighting for her life. With Brickle and Digby, their you get years proved to be quite treacherous.
Escapes and bears trying to come in the RV were only a few of the instances. With me, her situation as of late is wild pig encounters with a Fruitycake. That’s me.

So this morning, as we took a hike, she knew to keep me on the leash. You never know when they will make an appearance. It’s an all day show.
There we were, minding our own business, which was no business.
And all of a sudden, a wild baby pig came running at us, across the trail. He didn’t care that I have an obsession with protecting Girl Person lately. He didn’t care about my previous job experience of getting thrown by a giant wild pig. Nope. Did not care. But I did. I ran after him with a vengeance. A dog named Fruitycake is powered on everything sweet unless it’s a wild pig. Watch out.
If you solved the above equation, you will guess that I took Girl Person on a ride. Because as I tried to get the baby pig, and Girl Person tried to tell me to stop, all the force of focaccia took us all down the mountain. Focaccia may be a flatbread but not today.
Leash? Yep. Part of the equation that may have saved my life and almost took Girl Person’s. But she said all is well that ends well. Unfortunately, that probably is not the end.
Girl Person says life always will have risks. If you’re truly living it.
It’s up to us to weigh those risks and know what is worth the risk. I almost missed breakfast though, and that is not a risk I’m willing to take. I don’t have time to hire another cook.

Please be extra careful. I know once Nate said he found chicken wire everywhere. Is there any way to place the chicken wire like a fence along the path to make it less accessible for the pigs? Just a thought. I know you both are exhausted, take a couple days off of doing anything but feeding y’all and resting!! Your bodies and brains need a little break. Yes even the blog can handle a couple days off!!! Take time just to relax and enjoy each other!!! Please!!! Y’all really need this and deserve it!!! Love you and praying 🙏🏻 for you!!
Are you allowed to cage or shoot the wild pigs?
You really need to get some kind of protection from those pigs! They are NOT your friends. Remember what happened to you last time Fruitycake. It would kill me if I read on here one day that you were injured or even killed by one of those things. Maybe Boy Person should quit working so hard building houses for bats and frogs and just concentrate on your needs for your own house. Maybe he could get an easy job in town a few days a week at a Pizza place that pays to help you guys out with your needs. I am sorry that you are having so many struggles. It is just sad! I wish I could help you, but we too are struggling. Things are not going well in the US thanks to Trump. We have lost a huge amount of our retirement money that we worked are whole lives for and now we may lose our social security and our Medicare. We are seniors I am 84 and crippled up. Wow! Fruitycake, that was close call! Glad that Girl Person had you on a lease because even if it’s a baby pig, you could get hurt. However, being dragged by your lease, I’m concerned about Girl Person. I hope you guys didn’t fall too far down the mountain. I hope Boy Person is feeling better today so he can take care of you. Maybe get some bear spray or a horn to scare the wild pigs away. I really think you guys need a weekend off. Take care.
