This is Fruitycake. We sure had a long day yesterday. We had to go school to learn more Italian. In case you’re wondering, I’m already fluent in Italian, but there is not a test for dogs to take in that area. However, my persons? Oh, let me tell you. They need some schooling.
There was a lot of obstacles to get to school, and they started early. I started throwing up again, Girl Person had a sore throat and Boy Person was in a lot of pain and sore and tired. But we decided to try and go, made our way to the bus, only to miss it. Maybe we should have turned around then. But we didn’t. No. We were trying to be a good girl and good boys.
So we got to the train station finally and that’s when we bought tickets and then it was late an hour and didn’t come. So we walked to the next city over. And by that time, class was half over. Good thing I know it all already.
But we got some schooling and got to see my favorite teacher. She doesn’t take any nonsense in her class. I have to sit and listen. The persons can’t look at phones or cheat. Good girls and good boys only.
It’s interesting to me to see how persons have to be on good behavior too. Us dogs get told what to do all of the time. And we are just expected to be good. All of the time. But it’s hard to be good all of the time.
We all have things we have to get done each day. And we all are expected to never not our best. But some days, you have to just make it thru. Because on the way home, we missed another bus and had to walk home. And we were sick and tired. We could have called in sick to class. And maybe we should have. Although the pizza stop made my tummy feel better a little while.
You can’t be perfect all of the time. Life is hard here physically.
And it’s more than that though. It’s school and work and worries and goals. But what are our intentions? To welcome all the good boys and girls who need us here at a sanctuary.
To educate the world on how to make it better for animals and wildlife. Some days though, it is harder than others. You can’t be good all the time but you have to be good to yourself and rest sometimes to keep going.
Never met anyone’s definition of good weigh you down. That’s what pizza is for. If you try your best, the good ones in life will understand when you can’t do it all. I love you, good boys and girls. Trying is good enough for me today.
