Stick With It

This is Fruitycake. I heard one time that everybody is working for the weekend.

But what happens when you work week never ends? That’s my persons and their work schedule. Most of the time, they really do enjoy work.

And they work hard, yes. But Girl Person says that sometimes she just gets more tired in her brain than her body.

I work hard too. Most days, my work load is. A lot. The Depression Monster makes sure I’m always on alert to help Girl Person. And yesterday, when the sunshiney wasn’t bright, neither was her mood. She said that she couldn’t think. And so, she put down everything making her think and went upstairs to work on the bedroom and getting the mold away.

She said it helped her because it gave her something to stick to. A project to focus on that didn’t require thinking. Did you know that’s the secret to getting work done? You can take breaks and switch Jobs…as long as you stick with it. And don’t give up.

When you know you’re going to stick with it, you have confidence in your abilities. You may need to take breaks. You may need to leave and come back. But you know you have a goal. And you know you’ll complete it.

Do you have a goal right now as big as our house project?

Maybe you’re trying to overcome a personal problem or mend a relationship.

Maybe you gave up on your dreams and you realize it’s time to go back to them. If it seems overwhelming, take one step at a time.

Just stick with it. And stick with the power within you! If no one has ever told you before you can do that thing, I’m telling you now. Stick. With. It.

Fruity, my biggest problem lately is asking for help. I suddenly feel older because I can’t do the things I used to do easily. Fortunately, I have a good neighbor, who calls and asks me if I need my garbage taken down ( our garbage cans are down a very long driveway). I used to wave her off, but not anymore. She just comes over and helps me. A very good neighbor is wonderful!
