The Paw That Got Bit

This is Fruitycake. Some days, you just know you’ve got up on the wrong side of the bed. I knew this immediately yesterday. When I jumped out of bed, I hit the floor in a wrong way. Sure didn’t feel very good. I was bound to mumble and grumble all day.

But I brushed it off, and on we went on a short walk to that Portofino place. We needed paper towels, and that’s a good place to get them!

But on our way back, there was another dog that apparently had also got up on the wrong side of the bed.

He saw me and as we walked past each other, he bit my paw with his lockjaw. What did I do? I kept on walking. But certainly not as fast.

I don’t usually fight back because it never ends up well for me.

We’re sorry we’ve asked you a few times recently, but if 2 Traveling Dogs gives you $5 worth of joy, join the 2% who donate, whether it’s $5 one time or monthly.

Take the wild pig, for example. You see, sometimes, the strongest and bravest thing you can do is walk away. Even if it’s with a limp. Just being real.

The rest of the day didn’t go very well either. There were many mishaps with Girl Person getting sick with the girl problems. Boy Person literally had an all day debacle with packages and the path and the buses and the trains.

And yet, by the end of the day, we had two choices. To lick our wounds or eat spaghetti. And you can guess which one I picked.

I think that we all have to watch how we get out of bed and how we start every day.

Our first thoughts, our first words we say, our first intentions for the day will matter. And you’ll see that what you attract for the day will match.

Please help the blog continue for June here

Now, my paw does hurt. But I’ll be ok. I’ll be scooting around soon.

Boy Person will rest. And Girl Person will make more spaghetti. If we have a chance to start over each day, take it. And make it a wonderful day for you and all around you. Also, watch your paws.
