Can You Carry That?

This is Fruitycake. I’m just going to say it right away. No sense in beating around the bush or the blackberry thorns that keep sticking us.

We have no idea what we are doing.

Every day, the more the persons try to figure out, the more they figure out that they know nothing much. Now, they could pretend that everything is hunky dory.

But it’s not. Boy Person’s hands are hurting because they have been carrying a lot.

Girl Person’s heart is hurting because she feels not young and she thinks she should have life figured out by now.

And I’m stuck trying to cheer everybody up when we are going up and down this mountain every day.

The simple fact is, the persons need to find out how to make things easier. Because instead of getting stronger, they are getting weaker. This Italy boot camp is a hard one.

Girl Person has been trying to get better in her mind and trying to understand why things seem so heavy in her head and her heart.

She knows she is carrying around guilt and shame and sadness and depression. She knows Brickle’s passing affected her way more than she knew. And all of her 50 years of trying to be as strong as she could is catching up. Even up here on this mountain in this Italy place.

For Boy Person who I think can do anything, he needs help too. He can’t carry the weight of the world up here. And yet he will until he can’t.

Are you like my persons and carrying something with you that you’ve been carrying a long time? What if you could be free of it?

Can you imagine how that would feel? I want you to feel as free as me.

I want you to be your best. And be yourself.

Can you carry that? We all get worn down eventually if we don’t get rid of unnecessary things.

Now, I do need my pizza and focaccia.

And balls.

That I will always carry. But the trick is to know what’s good and what’s not. It’s as simple as that. Can you carry that?

Fruitycake

This is Fruity. Important message from me coming up! Tomorrow is my movie of the month and I have hardly any rescues to put in it! Won’t you help me buy flowers for Brickle’s resting place? You’ll get a spot in my movie!!

He always loved flowers and grass and waterfalls. We had a hard winter, and it’s taking so much to clean his resting place. But we truly believe he is helping us to see the potential of growth here! If you’d like to help with flowers and seeds and supplies for Brickle’s resting place, and Digby’s place of honor too, we appreciate the support. Any contribution gets your rescue in our movie this week. It’s our way of saying thanks and showing the world we can make a difference. https://tinyurl.com/Rescuerock

I keep trying to get through my emails and then trying to read all the stuff on my Facebook and by then most of the day is gone and I really haven’t accomplished anything. I guess watching the crazy news isn’t helping. Plus, I have new tv programs to watch which have piled up because of the tv strike. So, I think I’m unsubscribing from some sites to eliminate some reading. On to life!
