This is Fruitycake. You might notice that the blog is late today. And for that, me and Boy Person will take the blame. Because when Girl Person didn’t want to get out of bed this morning, we talked about it. After he made her a cup of cappuccino.
We decided that we couldn’t let her go into town by herself and carry all pie groceries by herself. We had a lot to do at home like get the hot water situation taken care of.
But at this point, we had to make a decision quickly. And so we decided it could wait for one more day.
And that today, we would walk into town in the sunshiney and sit in a park and just relax.
We want to fill social media with happy ways to an animal’s life. We give our time and resources to this cause. We have worked daily for over a decade to grow our pages to help provide free exposure to shelters and rescues at no cost. We reserve space for animals in need. Not sponsors. And that’s what we did. Until we carried our groceries back 2 miles and then up the path because the buses were full of tourists.
But you know what? It was a wonderful afternoon. I can’t tell you how much Girl Person and both me and Boy Person needed to breathe. It’s been a hard few weeks with the accidents and sicknesses and things breaking. It’s been hard for Girl Person to take on work for that money stuff. It’s been hard for us in many ways we don’t say. Because everyone has their own problems.
But, we are learning that if we need a break, like today, work can wait till the afternoon.
Afternoons are just as good. And we are just as good. You’ve been so good to us too that we can never let you down.
So thanks for letting me and Boy Person do a little more for Girl Person today.
