This is Digby Pancake. Do you like to feel cozy? Comfortable? I sure do.

Sometimes I like the feel of the wind in my fur and a crisp, sunshiney day.

But lately, it’s been very cold and damp in this Georgia place.

I’m not as young as I used to be.

Or at least that’s what they tell me. So when it’s cold outside, Girl Person says me and Brickle need to keep warm.
And yesterday was one of those days.

We made a cozy place in the barn so that we could still see outside but we would be warmer. And Girl Person put our sweaters on. And we even tried out a pad that heated up! It worked almost as well as pancakes to keep my belly warm. Almost.

When you’re cold, it’s hard to think about anything else. But when you find things that make you feel warmer, it’s a beautiful thing. I just wish that persons could remember that lately.

It’s hard to think about much other than sickness and sad things for the persons. But what they don’t realize is that it takes effort to feel warm inside. It doesn’t just happen. And if you don’t try to stay warm-hearted, you will stay cold inside.

We all have choices right now. A choice to sink deeper in the snow.
Or a choice to pull ourselves up…no matter what that takes. A good book. Goals. A good meal. What makes you feel warm-hearted?

For me and Brickle, we know winter will pass eventually and the sunshiney will come out. But that time won’t be tomorrow. And that’s the truth.
So not only get to the warmth inside. But keep warm.
Find your inner strength and fire. It’s in you.
