This is Deputy Digby Pancake. Have you ever just had to keep putting one paw in front of the other and it is all you can do? But what if you are walking and you are concentrating on just walking and you forget to look at what you are walking on?
We have been so excited to be back that we can’t keep still! Our time schedules are all off too. The persons think it is six hours ahead since they have come back from that Italy place. We were used to eating earlier at Aunt Veronica’s house. The Big Blue Treat Wagon RV thinks it is time to just not work, and well, we are letting her rest. The persons have to make some big decisions here after visiting that Italy place. And so one way or another, we are going to do this, not be stressed about it, and just keep walking.
But we have to keep looking. Because the earth under our feet is trying to get us to fall. And we can’t do that.
Because in actuality, my motto always works. Don’t worry, be happy, things will work out the way that they should. It is when we get upset about expectations that fall through that we get sidetracked.
It’s like when I hope for pancakes for dinner, although I already had them for breakfast and lunch, and then I get a hamburger or whatever. And I get disappointed. But then the hamburger actually ends up having pancakes for buns. And all is right in the world. When is dinner, by the way?
We have a lot of making up for being without the persons for two weeks. But step by step, I say. You can’t rush through every day trying to make up for days lost because you wouldn’t enjoy the day you are in now! And every moment, whether in the past or in the present is preparing you for the future. But sometimes, you have to sit. Even us. Traveling is good, but sometimes, you have to stop to figure out your next steps. And since the Big Blue Treat Wagon is on a rest now, we are too. We have to put on our thinking caps now. Mine is a pancake.
